Somerville College Choir offers an eclectic selection of music in celebration of International Women’s Day. The College’s own version of an Evensong presents words and music on a theme. This programme explores the links between the natural world around us and how women fit in: as citizens, poets, composers, as those who inspire and those who are inspired, perhaps as as Nature herself. All are welcome to attend, and no booking is required.

Somerville College Choir is young by Oxford standards, yet has achieved a phenomenal amount since its foundation. Professionally directed, they have released several albums with commercial labels, undertaken international tours and performed live on national radio. However, the real strength of the Choir is its freedom from convention. That's what enables SCC to perform such a diverse repertoire and have such fun while doing it!
